Quinces

Our quince tree is covered in fruit. We were put on to a recipe where the peeled and quartered quinces are baked in sugar syrup for many hours (4-8!) after which they turn a delicious pink. We have done the cooking part – will let you know on the taste – initial thoughts are they take a lot like pears
